$5,000 TAA Scholarship Available for Tennessee Aviation Students

The Tennessee Aviation Association (TAA) is currently accepting applications for its 2026 scholarship program. Aimed at supporting the next generation of aerospace professionals, the association will award one scholarship of $5,000 to a qualified undergraduate student.

Eligibility Requirements To be considered, applicants must be currently enrolled as a Sophomore or Junior at a post-secondary institution within Tennessee. The candidate must hold a minimum 3.0 GPA and be pursuing a major in Aviation Management, Aviation Maintenance, or Professional Pilot studies.

The selection committee will evaluate candidates based on academic performance (official transcript required), extracurricular involvement, work experience, and prior awards. While not mandatory, membership in an aviation organization is preferred. Applicants must also submit one letter of recommendation from a faculty member.

Essay Component A core component of the application is a 500–750 word essay. Students are asked to address the following:

1)How their involvement will impact the future of aviation in Tennessee.

2) Reasons for their selection.

3) One achievement they are most proud of.

4) A summary of extracurriculars and previous scholarships.

Application Deadline: January 17, 2026

•Award Presentation: February 23, 2026 (at the Tennessee Airports Conference luncheon in Murfreesboro, TN).
