The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced a significant initiative to modernize of Part 141 of the Federal Aviation Regulations, which governs pilot schools. This modernization effort aims to update the regulations to reflect advancements in aviation training, technology, and best practices, ultimately enhancing the quality and effectiveness of pilot education. The FAA recognizes the importance of stakeholder input in this process and is actively seeking public engagement to ensure the revised regulations are comprehensive, practical, and beneficial to the aviation community.

To kick off this crucial modernization effort, the FAA has scheduled a virtual public meeting on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 8:00 am to 12:00 Noon Mountain Standard Time (MST). This meeting will provide an opportunity for interested parties to learn more about the proposed changes, ask questions, and share their perspectives on the current Part 141 regulations and potential areas for improvement. The FAA encourages broad participation from flight schools, instructors, students, aviation organizations, and other stakeholders.
