UAA Awards CAE Entry Level Jet Scholarships Worth $136,000




University Aviation Association and CAE announced four deserving aviation scholars as recipients of the 2023 UAA/CAE Entry Level Jet Scholarship.

Scholarship winners Jasmine Lombardi, Nicholas Piliero, Stephan Westrum, and Allison Yager were awarded scholarship valued at $34,000 each for initial training in an entry-level corporate jet, resulting in a type rating upon successful completion of the course.  

Jasmine Lombardi is a recent graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a degree in Aeronautical Science. She is originally from New Jersey which is where her aviation journey first began in 2017. She is extremely excited to see what this opportunity has in store for her and her future. 

Nicolas Piliero is from Colorado, he is a flight instructor at Rocky Mountain College. The past few years he has enjoyed the multitude of challenges and opportunities that the aviation industry has provided. He is thrilled to have the chance to obtain advanced flight training through the CAE Entry Level Jet Scholarship.

Stephan Westrum is a flight instruction at LeTourneau University and recently graduated with a degree in Mission Aviation - Flight concentration. Stephan seeks to gain corporate aviation experience and broaden his horizons so that he could share that experience with his future students.

Allison Yager is a commercial pilot and certified flight instructor with experience in both single and multi-engine aircraft. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Flight Operations and Aviation Management, she has developed a strong foundation in aviation operations. Additionally, she has been actively involved in promoting women in aviation through her leadership roles in the Women in Aviation Dubuque Chapter and volunteer work at the Dubuque Regional Airport.
